Energy Trust of Oregon
Multifamily Program shares the same goal with other energy companies. It wishes
to push energy consumers to change equipment which causes too much energy loss
into the environment and results to high energy consumption, thus high bills.
Energy rebates program outlines specific requirements for the consumers
eligible for the cash incentive.
To be entitled for the utility
rebates program, the building should have a minimum of three levels, apart from
the basement, it should be a multifamily structure being rented out with two or
more dwelling units, condominium, campus living or assisted living facility.
The structure should have an existing central domestic hot water heating system
without the controls. The energy should be supplied by specific partner
companies in order to be able to avail of energy rebates in Oregon.
To make the rebate more certain,
you should first find a licensed contractor. Trade Ally contractor is
independent from Energy Trust. They are knowledgeable and trained on the energy
efficiency, therefore they are most credible to offer energy-efficiency
services and products. Not only are they updated with standards and
requirements but also with the rebate programs. It is highly important to
choose a licensed contractor; otherwise a post-installation assessment has to
be made. After the energy-efficient equipment is installed, the necessary
papers have to be submitted for the assessment and processing of rebate.
With the Energy
Efficiency Program in Oregon, a regulatory reimbursement of $420 is given.
Savings from switching to new energy-efficient product cannot be obtained as
soon as you purchase the product but as soon as you receive your utility bill.
